2026 SPRING TRAVEL Recreational League U11-U14 [10-13 yrs, 5th-8th grades]

Welcome to Mersey Soccer Club’s SPRING 2026 Travel Recreational League!

We participate in the Jack London Youth Soccer League and play games against other recreational teams from Alameda, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Oakland, Piedmont, & Richmond.

Early Bird Registration: Jan 2 - Feb 9 ($50 off)

Regular Registration: Feb 10 - Mar 10

Late Registration: After Mar 10 (+ $50 fee)

Dates

FALL program runs approximately March 16 to May 31
End of Season Unity Cup Tournament: May 30-31

Program Format

Playing Format: 9v9 (ages 10-11) | 11v11 (ages 12+)
Depending on the playing format, roster size will range from 12-18 players per team
4 Home games on nearby Albany-Berkeley, El Cerrito or Richmond fields
4 Away games, local travel within a 12-mile radius, typically Alameda, Piedmont, Oakland
All players guaranteed 50% play-time
Professional, licensed coach (email [email protected] if you are an experienced volunteer coach and would like to coach your child’s team)

Location & Times

Practice Time: 4-5:30pm or 5:30-7pm on Mon/Wed, Tue/Thu, Tue/Fri, or Wed/Fri
Players can share availability during registration
Location for HOME games and practice: Tom Bates Sports Complex, Berkeley | King Track & Field, Berkeley | San Pablo Park, Berkeley | Codornices, Berkeley [other Berkeley fields]
Location for AWAY games: Alameda, Oakland, Piedmont, Richmond
Saturday or Sunday games

Uniforms

A Mersey uniform is mandatory. Once you register, there will be instructions for ordering your player's uniform.

Roles of a Team Manager

Team Managers act as a team liaison and an extension of the Mersey admin team. They are responsible for:

Maintain team rosters and communication through the GameChanger App
Organize a post game snack roster
Organize a post season party
Managers do not need to attend practices
Managers must register as a team official through their player account.
