Age 5 years (U6 | Kindergarten): Team Dragon
This program offers a natural progression from our Team Dragon Step One class for 3-5 year olds, placing greater emphasis on teamwork, passing, shooting, and dribbling skills. Our youngest Mersey League players learn the rules of the game, and develop a positive attitude towards friendly competition.
- 1-hour weekday practice is included
- 1.5-hour weekend practice + 3v3 or 4v4 game on Saturdays or Sundays, 11:30AM - 1:00PM
Ages 6-7 years (U7-U8 | 1st & 2nd grades)
Our Mersey League players continue to hone their basic soccer skills, while having fun on a team, and deepening their love for the game.
- One weekday 1.5-hour practice
- One weekend game
- Game details: two 20-minute halves | U7 4v4, no goalkeeper | U8 5v5, including goalkeeper
Ages 8-9 years (U9-U10 | 3rd & 4th grades)
At this stage of development, players will learn about team formation and shape. Players begin to process the importance of spatial awareness and begin to understand that “clumping” is not the best way to play soccer.
- Two weekday 1.5-hour practices
- One weekend game
- Game details: two 25-minute halves | 7v7, including a goalkeeper
